Mechanisms of Textual Cohesion and their Implications in the Poem "Al-Ba'iyyah" by the poet Al-Kumayt bin Zaid Al-Asadi
Abstract
In this study, we discussed the sources of textual coherence and its implications in the poem "Al-Ba'i" by Kumait Bin Ziyad Al-Asadi. This is because his poetry expresses the truest expression of his emotions, which are shrouded in love and loyalty to the Ahl Al-Bayt, peace be upon them, and that love came from a true belief and self-dissolving, without pretense, or artificiality, where he did not express emotions only, but expresses thought. Since the textual cohesion is mainly in the construction of the poetic verse, and its formulation in the expression of ideas, the aim of this study came, where the scientific and practical applications on the verses of the poem, to clarify the effectiveness of the textual cohesion and its consistency in the interdependence and cohesion of those doctrinal ideas, by employing its tools, the most important of which are the most famous of them are referral, deletion, repetition, and others. This study relied on the descriptive-analytical approach.
