Organizational Justice and its Relationship to Academic Excellence among Academic Leaders at Umm Al-Qura University and King Saud University in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Abstract

The study aimed to identify the practice level of organizational justice among academic leaders at Umm Al-Qura University and King Saud University in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Also, identify the level of academic excellence among academic leaders and identify the nature of the relationship between the practice of organizational justice and the achievement of academic excellence among academic leaders in Umm Al-Qura and King Saud University in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The study followed the descriptive-analytical approach and relied on random sampling with a sample of 300 faculty members from the two universities as well as using the questionnaire as a tool to obtain the responses of the study participants. The study came out with a set of results, most notably: There was a great practice level of organizational justice among academic leaders at Umm Al-Qura University and King Saud University in Saudi Arabia. There was also a great level of academic excellence among the academic leaders at Umm Al-Qura University and King Saud University in Saudi Arabia; where a statistically significant correlational relationship has been found between practicing organizational justice and achieving academic excellence among academic leaders at Umm Al-Qura University and King Saud University in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The study recommended that the university leadership should pay attention to distributing workloads among faculty members based on their own abilities and the need for the university leadership to seek effective financial strategies and policies to ensure the provision of necessary resources to achieve the university’s strategy and vision.
