Abstract Historians were not the only ones who cared about writing down the history of the Mongols, but we find geographers shedding light on their news and military campaigns that they launched against the cities of the Islamic world, describing the cruelty of their campaigns, and the destruction and destruction it left behind. Al-Qazwini (D. 682 AH / 1283 AD) is considered one of the geographers Those who were interested in studying the cities of the world, especially the cities of the Islamic East, so he was a historian and geographer, and it is worth mentioning that he lived for a long time in the city of Qazvin and learned knowledge from its scholars and witnessed important historical events. The qualifications of the judges, and that his selection for this position was based on merit and competence that distinguished him from others. In his book “Athar Al-Bilad wa Akhbar Al-‘Ibad,” Al-Qazwini described the cities of the Islamic world accurately geographically, economically, and politically, and through his talk about them he referred to important historical events that were documented by several historians and geographers as well as Hearing and transmitting narrations. The research shed light on the life of Al-Qazwini, his interest in science, his most important books, and the most important cities that the Mongols launched their military campaigns on and imposed their control over, indicating their geographical, political and economic importance. In addition to a number of castles, districts, and villages, and a description of the cruelty of these campaigns, it is worth mentioning that he called the Mongols "Tatars", which we find with a number of historians and geographers, as they did not differentiate between the Mongol and Tatar tribes.
