The Endometrial thickness difference in fertile and infertile females by Transvaginal ultrasound

Abstract

The study carried out on 517 females age range 20-35 years from those attending some popular and some gynecology and obstetric private clinics in Al-Diwaniya city, it include 340 fertile and 177 non-fertile female, the study achieved through the period from September 2006 to may 2008. the endometrial thickness was measured for all females by using Transvaginal ultrasound and it was taken in the preovulatory (Proliferative) period. It was found that endometrial thickness was significantly higher in the fertile females than infertile females, and that the percentage of fertile females was increased with increment of endometrial thickness and a positive linear relationship is founded
