Teaching the Speaking Skill in Iraqi Secondary Schools: A proposed Method*

Abstract

to Speaking skill is one of the major skills in teaching a foreign language. Developing this skills depends on some techniques used by teachers in the classroom. Unfortunately, most of these techniques are neglected by Iraqi teachers for different reasons. The present study sheds light on the difficulties that face the development of speaking skill in Iraqi schools.
