Abstract

ABSTRACT:This research aims to the evaluation the teaching of surveying subject in Mosul Technical Institute from the student’s opinion stand point of view for the year (2001-2002).Because of the low number of students, the whole number first year Surveying. Irrigation, and Civil departments students, were chosen to get (62) person sample from both genders.The researchers had prepared a proforma sheet of (46) items then examined it for apparent verification and firmness of items by the retest method. The sheet is then distributed on the chosen sample during April (2002) to collect the planned data. The collected information was then analyzed statistically to find out the degree of acuity for each item.The research found out that there were (15) items giving high degree of acuity which gave bright indications for the presence of a gap between the background of the students and their scientific and thoughts levels from side, and syllabus and teaching requirements from the other side.Accordingly, a set of suggestions and recommendations has been formed and constructed to put any following related research on the same way.
