تأثير الالجنيت الخام في أمراضية جرثومة Pseudomonas aeruginosa المعزولة من عينات سريرية

Abstract

This study was achieved to investigate the bacterium P. aeruginosa in 52 samples collected from the hospitals AL-Hussein Hospital, Children and Obstetrics & Gynecology in the governorate of Karbala, which distributed among the clinical samples as urine , blood, sputum and swabs from ear and burns . P. aeruginosa was isolated in percentage of 45.4% from urine samples and 27.2% from burn swabs while isolated in 13.6% from each of mid ear swabs and sputum samples while in blood , the isolation reached 9.1% . The results of this study confirmed the important role of alginate in increasing pathogenicity and virulence of P. aeruginosa , shown in the apparent decrease in (LD50) of the bacterium with alginate concentration 20 µg/0.1 ml for up to 2.34 × 106 germ cell/ ml compared with a value of 3.16 × 107 germ cell/ ml in the absence of alginate . Also , the injection of different concentrations of alginate with (LD50) effect the percentage of mice dead for up to 100% , with a concentration 20 µg/0.1 ml of alginate . This concentration , which also increased the ability of the bacterium P. aeruginosa invasion that have been observed by calculating the logarithm number of bacterial neighborhood retrieved from the members of the mice infected cells germ and in the presence of increase concentration of alginate which led to a increase proportional in the logarithm of the number of bacterial neighborhood retrieved increase the concentration for up to 2.85, 2.84, 2.75 and 2.70 from liver , spleen , kidney and lung , respectively , when there is a concentration 20 µg/0.1ml of crude alginate .
