Study chemical and microbial contamination of imported canned beef

Abstract

This study aimed to identify the extent of contamination of some canned meat imported to Iraq and included beef canned by evaluating some chemical characteristics and quality microbial. The results showed terms microbial that numbers anaerobic bacteria came within the permissible limits, indicating the absence of risk microbial. It also found that the concentration of cadmium in the canned meat models ranged from (0.03 to 0.15) mg / g, the concentration of copper ranging from (0.72 to 1.90) mg / g, and the concentration of tin between (0,50 - 0.91) mg / g. The show, which offers need to be subject to all kinds of imported meat, whether frozen or canned to assess chemical and microbial continuously because of its direct impact on the preservation of public health
