Abstract

The best promising technologies in renewable energy is solar energy, which reduce environmental pollution, especially in Iraq, which is one of the wealthiest countries, solar energy. Lighting system has been borrowed from the Ministry of electricity/Middle Electricity Department for the purpose of field study of the impact of dust on the efficiency of the system and chooses the best angle to put the solar panel. Data have been recorded directly from the system control panel for each of the current system and the charge current and battery capacity and the number of hours the battery charge and number of hours of battery discharge .We also taking the weather state , the actual number of hours of brightness, temperature and the receiver radiation of August, where the efficiency of the system between (95-99%) in the days of continuous dust while the efficiency of the system, ranging from( 99-100%) during the sunny days . To select the best inclination angle of solar panel from three angles (60, 40, 35 ) readings were taken of the current and voltage direct from the solar panel during sunny days to calculate the power and efficiency, where we found highest power and efficiency at an angle( 35) .
