تاثير المجال المغناطيسي في بكتريا Escherichiacoli و Streptococcus mutans

Abstract

Magnetic fields with two intensities (1200 ,3000 gauss) experimented on two kinds of bacteria (Escherichiacoli) and (Streptococcusmutans ) in Nutrient broth media. The filed subjected for 1-3 days and the growth monitored using optical density(O.D) and colony forming unit method. The results show greatest effect for 3000 Gauss than 1200 Gauss on bacteria growth comparing with control sample after third day. The (O.D) results of bacteria type Escherichia coli was 74.55 and colony forming unit 6×106 colony/ml) with 3000 Gauss at the magnetic intensity 1200 Gauss , where the optical density O.D and colony forming unit were 95.32 , 3×106 colony / ml comparing with colony sample at 135.4 and 3 ×107 colony / ml respectively . At the Streptococcusmutansthe magnetic intensity 3000 Gauss the (O.D) and colony forming unit were 96.1 and 1 ×107 colonyml , while at the magnetic intensity 1200 Gauss the (O.D) 110.6 and colony forming unit was (6×107 colony/ml) comparing with the control sample 137 for (O.D) and colony forming unit 8×108 colony/ml).
