Following the changes suffered by the beaconIn Iraq on the tasks carried out by theGeneral Authority for guidance and agricultural cooperation

Abstract

The study was on a questionnaire to which responses were obtained from 113 technical officers of SBATE ,out of a total of 184 .The result indicate that more time is devoted to desk work than to field work, and that the training of farmers is disproportionate to major objectives, while there is a continuous shifting of officers from one position to another. The major goals included the development of women’s role in agriculture and the vertical and horizontal expansion of production. As for extension methods, the emphasis was on mass mediaesecially extension bulletins. The major constraints were related more the the work environment than to the work content, especially in the criteria used to evaluate officers.
