The spatial distribution of primary schools in AL- MAHAWEEL district for the year 2012 – 2013. A mapping study by using geographic information systems technology )GIS(

Abstract

Nowadays the world Passes a sweeping scientific technique revolution, perhaps one of the most important features is to process a tremendous amount of information in a short time. And this scientific development includes an important role in the evolution of cartography especially when Computer and its auxiliaries come into use presenting very accurate results . The research includes the use of two types of data presenting firstly Spatial Data with map, including administrative units of the study area , and the use of data for GPS as well . Secondly it presents Attributes Data related to numbers of schools , numbers of pupils and study sections …etc . The research indicates that the total number of primary schools in AL- MAHAWEEL district for the year 2012 – 2013 is (156) Schools , whereas AL – Mashro Area takes largest number of schools in order , the district center , Neel Area and finally AL –Imam Area . The research proves that the number of primary schools is disproportionate to the number of pupils in the district according to the global standard for the number of pupils per class . According to this study , it is concluded that AL- MAHAWEEL district needs (25) Schools to achieve for the ideal number of schools
