Fayad محمد علي فياض PY - 2013 VL - 26 IS - 2 SP - E134 EP - E148 JO - Journal of Techniques مجلة التقني SN - 27088383 AB - This research is focused on the numerical investigation of a steady laminar naturalconvection heat transfer of liquid (water) with Prandtl number (Pr = 6.2) in a 2-Drectangular enclosure and Rayleigh number, Ra in range from 103 to 105 are taken intoconsideration for various aspect ratios, AR of 0.5, 1.0 and 2.0.The enclosure object with heated left side wall, while the right side was cold, the top andbottom walls was adiabatic. The theoretical study involved a numerical solution of theNavier-Stokes and energy equations by using finite difference method. The streamfunction – formulation was used in the mathematical model. The numerical solution iscapable of calculating the velocity, stream function, vorticity and temperature fields ofthe computational domain. A computer program in (FORTRAN 90) was used to carryout the numerical solution and used the Tecplot7 program to draw the results ofprogram.
