المــــلخــــص:يعد الاعتراف وحق تقرير المصير من المواضيع التي تحظى بأهمية بالغة في نطاق القانون الدولي العام، وعلى الرغم من أن الاعتراف في القانون الدولي المعاصر ينظر إليه عموما على أنه يتمتع بالطبيعة الكاشفة في الحالات التي تنشأ فيها دولة جديدة في إطار ممارسة شعبها لحق تقرير المصير، ولكن هذا لا يعني بأن الاعتراف لا يُعدُّ أمراً ضرورياً لإقامة علاقات دولية بين الدولة الجديدة والدول القائمة، وفي غياب هيئة أو سلطة دولية مختصة بمنح الاعتراف للكيان الجديد وتحديد ما إذا كان هذا الكيان قد استوفى معايير الدولة وفقا للقانون الدولي، يدرس هذا البحث نظريتين متعارضتين بشأن طبيعة الاعتراف بالدولة كما يحدد آثاره المترتبة على ممارسة حق تقرير المصير من قبل الشعوب.} }
