The study of the art scenes showed the shapes of the Assyrian sacrificing altars and the material which the altars made from .Different shapes of altars had been appeared on the Assyrian art works, and this will give us a motive to know the reason for using altars and the erection techniques. Altars had been used for supplicating and submitting sacrifices to gods.Altars had been made from stones and some time from wood, the fixed ones were used inside the temples while the movable ones were used by the army during Assyrian military expeditions.
