Art and architecture are mirrors that reflect the culture and progress of people. Architecture, specifically, is a lively and true evidence throughout the history by which it is possible to document an important period time that is the last Ottoman era. This study has mentioned accurate details found in Kirkuk in order to clarify, study and document them as much as possible. The study comes up with the following conclusions, The inhabited houses at the citadel in Kirkuk are classified into three layers which are special class, common class and poor class, The study proves that the houses of special class are larger and highly decorated. Whereas those of common class are smaller than those for special class. Concerning those of poor class, are small with almost one floor and sometimes without decorations.
