The study was carried out on third year students at The Iraqi University-College of Education. For the sake of familiarity, the material of the test is taken from the books the students have already studied during the first two years of their study [1, 2]. In order to carry out the objectives of the study, a 50-item test is administered. Two versions of the test are prepared. In the first version, the multiple choices are in English; while in the second one the multiple choices are in Arabic. Results indicate there is a significant association between English language and Biology achievement scores. They further support the importance of language in learning Biology terms. The participants gave feedback that suggested their interest in applying the morphological knowledge to their vocabulary learning. Thus, the findings have implications as to the importance of facilitating the students’ morphological awareness in English vocabulary learning for students in Iraq
