It draws attention to theistical principles this behavior contradicts. The most important of which are: worship of Allah- be He exalted-, trust in Him, and faith in predestination. This paper demonstrates how Islam provides the utmost care to human life and reserves the innate desire for life and hate for death. Furthermore, it reveals the harmony between Islam teachings and demands of life, afterlife, soul, and body. This paper pays close attention to lay the foundations of the balanced Islamic treatment of this issue through texts from the Quran, Hadith, and the words of worthy ancestors and vigilant scholars. It clarifies that Islam prohibits suicide and that what came to the attention of some venerable forefathers wishing death was not out of despair but out of fear of a test of faith in times of trial.

يتناول هذا البحث الموجز مشكلة الانتحار من منظور عقدي إيماني، بتسليط الضوء على المخالفات العقدية المصاحبة للسلوك الانتحاري، والتنبيه على المبادئ الإيمانية التي يخدشها هذا المسلك، ومن أهمها: عبادة الله تعالى، وحسن الظن به، والإيمان بالقضاء والقدر. ويوضح البحث عناية الإسلام الفائقة بالحياة الإنسانية، ومراعاته لفطرية حب الحياة وكراهية الموت، وانسجام تعاليمه بين متطلبات الدنيا والآخرة، ومطالب الروح والجسد. ويعتني البحث بتأصيل المعالجة الإسلامية المتوازنة لهذه القضية من خلال نصوص القرآن والسنة وكلام السلف والمحققين من العلماء، موضحا حرمة الانتحار القاطعة في الإسلام، وأن ما ورد عن بعض السلف من تمني الموت لا علاقة له باليأس من طيب الحياة، وإنما بالخوف من الفتنة في الدين.} }
