This study was carried out at the University of Kufa - Presidency Building to show the level of noise pollution in different departments, by using sound level meter. The departments chosen for the study were 11 locations in University of Kufa - Presidency Building. The findings of the present study reported that the highest mean (LAeq) and maximum sound level (Lmax) during morning time belonged to reception in university of Kufa - Presidency Building. Furthermore, lowest mean (LAeq) , minimum sound levels readings during morning time in assistant president office. In addition, the results demonstrated that the highest mean (LAeq) and maximum sound level in files and electronic documentation department and the lowest mean (LAeq) and minimum sound level readings in assistant president office. On the other hand, the questionnaire survey results showed that The result found higher prevalence of symptoms such as headache (50 %) , (48%) tiredness and (37%) annoyance among in employees of Kufa - Presidency Building. Therefore Acts and regulations concerning noise pollution should be strictly adopted and sustainable methods.
