The clarity of the law is an element of legal certainty, and it also enjoys great constitutional value, as the judiciary has sometimes argued that unclear or ambiguous texts are unconstitutional. Addressing the lack of clarity of the law in several ways, the most important of which is ensuring the quality of legislative drafting as well as ensuring the accessibility of the law and ensuring knowledge of the law.

مبدأ وضوح القانون هو ذلك المبدأ الذي يفرض على السلطة المختصة بالتشريع بان تكون صياغة التشريع في نصوص قانونية قابلة للفهم وسهلة التطبيق، وان تصاغ بأسلوب لا يحتمل التأويل يسمح للمخاطب به فهمه وادراكه. ويعد وضوح القانون عنصراً من عناصر اليقين القانوني، كما انه يتمتع بقيمة دستورية كبيرة اذ ذهب القضاء في بعض الأحيان الى عدم دستورية النصوص غير الواضحة او الغامضة، ويظهر انعدام وضوح القانون بصور عده أهمها غموض النصوص القانونية او تعارضها، وكذلك حالة تضخم النصوص القانونية، ويمكن معالجة انعدام وضوح القانون بعدة طرق أهمها ضمان جودة الصياغة التشريعية فضلاً عن ضمان إمكانية وصول القانون وضمان العلم بالقانون.} }
