Although its entry was initially for logistical support, developments in the global situation and the United States' ambition to expand its national interests and due to Iran's distinctive graphic position made it change its policy towards the countries of the region. This research deals with the topic extensively, starting with the historical background of the Anglo-Russian competition over Iran and the region in general, and briefly reviewing aspects of this competition and the agreements concluded by the two countries until the end of the First World War and the results that resulted from it, especially the change of the regime in Russia, as well as the change of the system of government in Iran and the aftermath of these two events of major changes in the equation of international competition, which resulted in the outbreak of World War II. In the following heading, the discussion dealt with the allied occupation of Iran, i.e., mean the Anglo-Soviet occupation, which was intended to prevent Germany from expanding towards Iran and thus open a second front against the Soviet Union, which was suffering at that time from the penetration of its eastern front by German forces. However, the British were not able to transfer logistical support and other materials to the Soviet Union, which led them to request the United States to undertake this mission, and this is what we touched upon through another heading is the beginnings of the US intervention in Iran, which then led to the emergence of a case of the competition between the United States and the Soviet Union over oil concessions, and this competition continued until the end of the war that imposed another reality on the allies, which was represented by Iran's request to withdraw all military forces from Iranian territory, according to what was agreed upon at the Tehran conference, but this request was his Significant negative consequences, both internally and externally, for Iran.
