TY - JOUR ID - TI - انتشار الطفيليات الفموية Entamoeba gingivalis وTrichomonas tenax AU - أ.م.د. هيثم محمد حماديم.م. سميرة جابر عبيد PY - 2008 VL - 11 IS - 2 SP - 300 EP - 307 JO - KUFA MEDICAL JOURNAL مجلة الكوفة الطبية SN - 1993517X 27094462 AB - AbstractEntamoeba gingivalis and Trichomonas tenax are protozoan parasites that affect oral cavity and have been highlighted as significant peridontitis parasitic pathogens.The present study was conducted to assess the prevalence of the two parasitic infections among persons in relation to mouth health state, age, sex , smoking and diabetic disease.The study was carried out during the period 3 November 2006 to 30 October 2007 in Al-Najaf city. Specimens were collected from a total of 744 persons were consulted dentist clinic of Al-Hakim hospital, Al-Sader Teaching hospital and Al-Manathera hospital.The present study was found that 79% and 65% of all examined patient with oral disease were infected by E. gingivalis and T. tenax respectively in comparison with 32% and 26% of all examined healthy persons. 37.7% of patients and 11.9% of healthy one were Mixed infected by both parasites. A direct relation was found between the frequency of the parasites and some pathological conditions such as periodontal tissue inflammation , bleeding gingivitis acute gingivitis , chronic gingivitis , dried and humid pocket. Patients with bleeding gingivitis were showed higher infection percentage ( 56 -65%) with E. gingivalis and ( 48 -55%) with T. tenax in comparison to other cases. Infection to mouth amoeba and Trichomonas was more prevalent in male and female at the age of 15-44 yr old. Infection to mouth amoeba and Trichomonas was more prevalent in smoking person in comparison with non-smoking one. The prevalence of parasitic infections was influenced by the Diabetic mellitus. The present study found that 53.8 – 58% of diabetic female and male were infected with E. gingivalis in comparison with 11% and 14% non diabetic one and (46.0 – 56.0 %) of diabetic female and male were infected with T. tenax in comparison with 6.6% and 10% of non diabetic one.

الخلاصةيعد طفيلي الأميبا الفموية Entamoeba gingivalis والمشعرات الفموية Trichomonas tenax من الطفيليات التي تصيب تجويف الفم وألقي الضوء عليها باعتبارهما من الطفيليات الممرضة للنسيج الداعم للأسنان. تناولت الدراسة الحالية تفشي الإصابة بهذين الطفيليين في الأشخاص المصابين وغير المصابين بأمراض الفم مع الأخذ بنظر الاعتبار علاقة ذلك ببعض العوامل مثل حالة الفم الصحية، العمر، الجنس، التدخين ومرض السكري.أجريت الدراسة للفترة من 3/11/2006 ولغاية 30/10/2007 في محافظة النجف الأشرف (العراق)، جمعت العينات من 744 حالة راجعت عيادات الأسنان في مستشفيات ( الحكيم، الصدر التعليمي، والمناذرة).أظهرت الدراسة الحالية أن 79 و 65% من الأشخاص الذين لديهم أمراض فم مصابين بطفيلي الأميبا الفموية والمشعرات الفموية على التوالي مقارنة مع 32، 26% من الأشخاص الأصحاء وان 37.7% من مرضى الفم و 11.9% من الأصحاء لديهم إصابة مختلطة بكلا الطفيليين .وجدت الدراسة أن هنالك علاقة مباشرة بين انتشار الطفيليات الفموية قيد الدراسة وبعض حالات الفم المرضية (اللثة النازفة، أمراض تلف النسيج الداعم، التهاب اللثة الحاد، التهاب اللثة المزمن والجيب الرطب والجاف) وأظهر المرضى الذين لديهم لثة نازفة أعلى نسبة للإصابة بكلا الطفيليين مقارنة بالحالات الأخرى.بينت الدراسة أن أعلى نسبة تفشي للاميبا الفموية و المشعرات الفموية سجلت في المجموعة العمرية 15- 45 سنة من الذكور والإناث مقارنة بالمجاميع العمرية الأخرى. أن الإصابة بالطفيليات الفموية أكثر تفشيا في الأشخاص المدخنين مقارنة بغير المدخنين. أن تفشي الإصابة تتأثر بمرض السكري، إذ أظهرت الدراسة الحالية أن 53.8و 58 % من الإناث والذكور على التوالي الذين يعانون من السكري مصابون بالاميبا الفموية و 46و56 % من الإناث والذكور الذين يعانون من السكري مصابون بالمشعرات الفموية. ولم تظهر فروقات في نسبة تفشي المرض بين الذكور والإناث اختلافاً معنوياً ER -
