About
Diyala Journal of Engineering Sciences (DJES) is a double-blind peer-reviewed, open access journal founded in 2008. DJES is a quarterly journal published by University of Diyala – College of Engineering intended to be interesting and useful for researchers and practitioners in academic and industrial communities. DJES is not limited to a specific aspect of science and engineering but is instead devoted to a wide range of subfields in the engineering sciences. While it encourages a broad spectrum of contribution in the engineering sciences, its core interest lies in issues concerning material modeling and response. Articles of interdisciplinary nature are particularly welcome. In addition to the Engineering disciplines of Civil, Chemical, Electrical, Computer, Mechanical and Material Engineering, DJES is interested with a theme issue on specific topics. The journal publishes research articles, reviews, and case reports. It seeks original research efforts based on theoretical or experimental work that fills the gap in current knowledge. The journal also publishes special issues with selected papers from relevant conferences. All articles submitted for publication must be original, previously unpublished, and not under consideration for publication elsewhere. All articles, submitted for possible publication at DJES, are subject to a double-blind check, peer review process, plagiarism and similarity tests. Submissions are accepted only in English.
Diyala Journal of Engineering Sciences (DJES) is an international, double-blind peer-reviewed and open access journal providing a unique forum for researchers, scholars and practitioners to concern dynamic and rapid evolution of knowledge in the engineering field. DJES is a quarterly journal aimed to involve researchers from international institutions to share their most valuable scientific results. The main scope of the journal is to publish high-quality original research, reviews and case reports in the areas of engineering sciences. The journal welcomes contributions from all who wish to report on new developments and the latest findings in all fields of engineering.
The primary goal of the new editors is to maintain a high quality of publications. There will be a commitment to expediting the time taken for the publication of the papers. The articles that are sent for review will have the names of the authors deleted with a view towards enhancing the objectivity and fairness of the review process.
Articles that are devoted to the purely mathematical aspects without a discussion of the physical implications of the results or the consideration of specific examples are discouraged. Articles concerning material science should not be limited merely to a description and recording of observations but should contain a theoretical or quantitative discussion of the results.
The journal accepts research articles, review articles, case reports and selected conference articles. Submissions are accepted only in English since 2018. The Editors reserve the right to reject papers without sending them out for review. The DJES is committed to upholding Publication Ethics (COPE) and obligates the authors to avoid any plagiarism and illegal citation.
The subject areas include, but are not limited to the following fields:
- Civil and Architecture Engineering
- Mechanical and Material Engineering
- Electrical, Electronics, and Computer Engineering
- Chemical Engineering
Diyala Journal of Engineering Sciences (DJES) publishes fully open access articles, which means that all articles are available on the internet to all users immediately upon publication. The DJES publisher and editor are always willing to publish corrections, clarifications, retractions and apologies when needed. All articles published in the DJES are fully open access; immediately freely available to read, download and share. Articles are published in the DJES is under the terms of a Creative Commons license 4.0 (CC-By) which permits users to read, print and download, or redistribute, translate the article, download for text and data mining purposes, reuse portions or extracts from the article in other works.
