Iraqi Journal of Veterinary Sciences (IJVS) is a global, scientific, and open-access journal. Publishing under the license of Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC-BY), this journal has been published biannually by the College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Mosul, Iraq since January 1988. We are using iThenticate to prevent plagiarism and ensure our submitted manuscripts' originality. A double-blind peer reviewing system is also used to assure publication quality. IJVS publishes original articles, review papers, and case reports in the field of veterinary science. This journal has been indexed in well-known world databases such as Scopus, DOAJ, PubMed, Hinary, and IASJ. IJVS requires a 150 US$ fee for publishing an accepted manuscript. The journal is not financially supported by any governmental or non-governmental organization.

Iraqi Journal of Veterinary Sciences (IJVS) is open access, peer-reviewed, scholarly publication aiming to promote scientific veterinary sciences and presented to researchers and academics in the fields of Veterinary Sciences.

Iraqi Journal of Veterinary Sciences (IJVS) publishes open-access articles, which means that all articles are available on the internet to all users immediately upon publication. The IJVS publisher and editor are always willing to publish corrections, clarifications, retractions, and apologies when needed. All articles published in the IJVS are fully open access; immediately freely available to read, download and share. Articles published in the IJVS are under the terms of a Creative Commons license 4.0 (CC-By), which permits users to read, print and download, or redistribute, translate the article, download for text and data mining purposes, reuse portions or extracts from the article in other works. All submitted manuscripts are checked for similarity through a trustworthy software named iThenticate to be assured about their originality and then rigorously peer-reviewed by international reviewers. Benefits of open access for authors include:
