Abstract

Women in the medieval European era lived in an unenviable position, having suffered considerable pressure from churchmen on the one hand and the aristocracy on the other, so they had to face those pressures with a strong will, and yet the life of that woman at different stages is sometimes a part The strength of its home, society and sometimes it is in a state of weakness in which all the burdens of society are borne. The study entitled ((European Women in the Middle Ages –Women of the public Class Model)) presented the social aspect and its impact on the political life of the European society in general.The study included a group of axes, which are as follows: First axis: Social and economic status of women. While the second axis dealt with the status of women in theoretical aspect. The third axis ensures: the status of women in practically. The fourth topic discussed: marital life and the most important duties of women.The study reached to numbers of results as follows:1. In the Middle Ages, European women suffered from real crises. These crises were the main forces of the Church and the European society's view of women from a very narrow angle.2. In the Middle Ages, European women played a large role by carrying on domestic burdens on the one hand and by burdens imposing by the realistic in terms of helping men in the affairs of public life.
