الوعي الغذائي والتغذوي للنساء الريفيات في المنطقة الوسطى وعلاقته ببعض المتغيرات الذاتية

Abstract

This study aimed at determination of nutrition awareness level of rural women and to investigate it's relationship with some personal and social – economical factors. A questionnaire form was designed for this purpose to collect data concerning rural women in the middle provinces in Iraq. A systematic random sample of 160 rural wives was selected and interviewed from 4 villages. Different statistical methods were used to analyze data.The most important findings of the study were:1.Rural women had in general mid level of nutritional awareness.2.Their awareness level was low in some fields which are (carbohydrate, fruits & vegetables, and child feeding) and it was mid level in (adults feeding, milk and its derivatives, proteins, and pregnant feeding).3.There was a significant Positive relationship between rural women nutritional awareness with these factors (their education level , economical statues , sons educational level , cultural contact ,and husbands educational level ) and it was negative relationship with ( their ages , sons number ) Finally, some recommendations were suggested.
