Social Anxiety and its Relationship to Self-Esteem Among Students in the College of Physical Education

Abstract

The research aims to Identify the subject of the psycho-social concern among social anxiety and self-esteem among students (Female) in the College of Physical Education and Establish a relationship between social anxiety and self-esteem. The researchers used the descriptive approach by survey relations connectivity since it is one of the most suitable approaches to the nature of the problem of the research. The research community has been identified that was the College of Physical Education Muthanna University also a sample has been selected on purpose ,they were the students in the Physical Education College of Muthana University (136) students which included students of all four stages, the percentage of the total number was %41. The researchers used anxiety social measurement, it is a standardized measure of mental self-esteem .The researcher did the exploratory experiment to figure out the negatives that may accompany the application of each of the measurements of the psycho-social anxiety and self-esteem to the research sample and after completing the exploratory experiment the main experiment has been done, the data were statistically treated by using the arithmetic mean and standard deviation and coefficient of simple correlation. The researchers concluded to The emergence of the level of social anxiety on students of Physical Education College Muthanna University through the results obtained. The responses to the leading causes of social anxiety was present among students in the Physical Education college Muthanna University. The existence of moral self-esteem of the students of the Physical Education college Muthanna University and far away from the psych_ social anxiety. The emergence of an inverse engagement relation between psycho-social anxiety and self-esteem for the students.
