Inhibition effect of Zingiber officanales and Cympobogon citratus in Proteus bacteria isolated from urinary tract infections

Abstract

This research included study of plant extracts which are extract of Zingiber officanales and extract of Cympobogon citratus by, aquatic, alcoholic, and phenolic, and three concentrations (25, 50, 100) mg/ml in order to test them against bacteria Proteus which causing urinary tract appeared the following: Cympobogon citratus extract exceeded significantly on Zingiber officanales extract which detected the highest level in inhibiting of proteus average of in hibition zone reached 3.98 m., Phenolic extraction method exceeds significantly on all other extraction methods on inhibition proteus level of inhibiting reached 4.85m, The concentration of 100 mg/ml exceeds significantly on all other concentrations in inhibiting zone of proteus which detected the average in inhibition zone 6.28m. Significant dual interference is detected among extractions and types of extractions in inhibiting zone of bacteria Proteus, alcoholic Cympobogon citratus extract detects the average in inhibiting the zone proteus reached 5.31 m, Significant dual interference is detected among extracts types and extractions in inhibiting zone of proteus, Cympobogon citratus extract within concentration 100 mg/ml detected the highest average of inhabitation zone reached 7.41 m. Significant dual interference is detected among extraction methods and concentrations in inhibiting of proteus, when phenolic method of extraction within concentration of 100 mg/ml, detected the highest average of inhibition zone of bacteria proteus reached 7.73m. Significant triple interference among extraction methods, extract types, and concentrations, When alcoholic extract of Cympobogon citratus within concentration of 100 mg/ml. exceeded significantly in inhibiting the zone of proteus and detected the highest average inhibition zone reached 8.63 m.
