Ishaq Bin Kundaj ( 891 A. D - 278 A.H ) , His biography & Role in The Second Abbassy Era ( Historical Study)
Abstract
This paper deals with Turkish Prince's (Ishaq Bin Kundaj) character as well as biography. It highlights his role in the political and military events in the 2nd Abbassy Era that happened in Syria and Euphrates Island .Throughout this study, we realized that this Prince considers one of the the most prominent Turkish leaders in the 2nd Abbasy Era during the period of the Caliph ( Al- Mutamid ) . He characterized by bravery , cleverness and savvy . He plays significant role in serving the Caliphate army. He makes a group of military campaigns for keep Abbassy state safe and settled during th 2nd Abbassy Era . After a series of battles with several princes of " Al – Mutaghlbin and some of local forces in Al Jazzira and Bilad Rabee'a territory, he puts those areas under Abbassy stat's control. He has been rewarded by naming him "Waly" on these grounds out of his great efforts . He descends from Al- Khzer ancestors ; they are actually a great Turkish generation , they live in " Al -Draband" which is behind the great gate near to " Tho – Algernain" dam . Ishaq Bin Kundaj plays significant role in the political and military conflicts that take place between "Al – Tolonia " state in Egypt & Syria and the Abbassian state at the period of the temporary revivification. He gets use of the conflict between ( Al – Muwaffak bi Allah ) who is the brother and the crown prince of the Caliph ( Al – Mutamid ) ; the latter actually is leading the Caliphate in Baghdad , in the other side "Ahmed bin Tolon and Khumarawayh " , this is all about controlling leadership in Al-Jazzira & Musel as well as expand the influence and the borders of his state . As all the Turkish military leaders, he tries to achieve personal ambition aspirations on the expense of the weakness and deterioration of the 2nd Abbassian Caliphate in both political and military field .
