The effect of using some of the strategies of thinking beyond the cognitive on level of critical thinking and self-confidence among the students of the university of Shaqra

Abstract

The aim of the current research is to find out how the use of some of the cognitive thinking strategies in the level of critical thinking and self-confidence of the university students. The strategies were applied to a sample of 50 students from the second level in psychology at Shaqra University, (25) experimental and (25) officers. To achieve this goal, the researcher used the experimental method of experimental and control groups after rewarding between the two groups in terms of variables (age, level of education of father and mother, level of intelligence, critical thinking, self-confidence) Thinking beyond knowledge, s Hired a researcher to test (Watson - Klaser) Translator by Issa (2013), and a measure of self-confidence (researcher); researcher used statistical methods system (SPSS), The results indicated that there were statistically significant differences at the level of (α =0.01) in the post-application of the standards of critical thinking and self-confidence; between the experimental groups; the average (28.1) for the critical thinking and (21.275) for the self-confidence and the control; (30.325) for critical thinking and (23,000) for self-confidence, for the benefit of the experimental group. This indicates the effectiveness of the strategies of thinking beyond the cognitive level of critical thinking and self-confidence among the students of Shaqra University
