Forecasting the electricity consumption of the holy city of Karbala using time series models

Abstract

In this study, time series models were used to study and analyze the monthly data of consumed electric energy in the holy governorate of Karbala for the period (2012-2016) because these models are characterized by high accuracy and flexibility in time series analysis.The results of the application showed that the efficient and appropriate model to represent the time series data is the mode (0,1,1) SARIMA(0,1,1) According to the results of the estimate of this model, electricity consumption was predicted for the period from January 2017 to December 2017. These values were shown to be consistent with those in the original time series
