Abstract

This research is meant to study (the processing of behavioral cubism and it's influence in the modern Iraqi drawings) and it's composed of four chapters, the first chapter discussed the problem of the research, it's importance, it's goal, and define the terms that came in it. The problem of the research dealt with the huge experimental transformations that shook the western mind in the fields of knowledge and art which headed towards the novelty with the help of the progress in science and technology, which is reflected on the imagery surface and the ways of processing it to invent new art approaching engineering and mental control of the elements that make it, and during the first half of the twentieth century the cubism emerged to form the first modern art that came up with a solutions and new technologies, so this new direction influenced the art and artists including the modern Iraqi plastic artists, so the problem of the research is defined by answering the following question: _ the extent of the influence of the processing of the behavioral cubism in the modern Iraqi drawings? The importance of the research manifested in the studying of experiences and productions of the Iraqi fine art which shows it's connections with the artistic trend that were dominant in Europe. The research has one goal which is defining the behavioral cubism and it's influence on the modern Iraqi art, by studying their works from 1950 till 1980. As for the second chapter (the theoretical framework) it included two parts, the first one was meant to study the artistic and technical method of cubism, the second one was concerned with the fields of cubism in the modern Iraqi art. The third chapter was about the procedure of the study which included selection of the study sample which included 5 models and analyzing it according to descriptive analytical method. The fourth chapter included the results, conclusions, and recommendations of the study. And from the result the researchers have reached: 1-The Iraqi artists have worked on the concept and method of formulating the work of art through the construction of the form of cubism through the inclusion of the engineering elements such as triangles and small squares intersecting with certain lines and overlapping among them as illustrated in the sample samples (2,3,4). 2-The artist's reliance on the color contrast method in the creation of the painting in order to create a visual and spiritual movement that breaks the strength of geometric or survey lines as in sample models (1,2,3) And from the conclusions: the connections between the Cubic style and the Iraqi heritage one of the most important points in the overall output of the artistic movement at this stage, the Iraqi artist such as Hafez Al-Droubi and Jamil Hamoudi and Jawad Salim and others can formulate the artwork in geometric shapes approached to simplify the features or the atmosphere of the painting with the inheritance And Iraqi symbols in shapes, lines and areas of color add to the artistic work distinctive flavor and to be at the end painting of Iraqi icon in a modern style .
