The Effect Of Audio – Touch Exercises On learning Some Fundamental Principles In Freestyle Swimming For Blind Children

Abstract

The problem of the research lies in the lack of attention paid to children with special needs especially visually impaired children. The aim of the research is to prepare touch – auditory exercise for teaching fundamental swimming principles for blind children aged 8 – 9 years old. In addition to that, the research aimed at identifying the effect of these exercises on learning some fundamental swimming principles for blind children aged 8 – 9 years old. The researcher used the experimental method. The subjects were (7) registered blind children in Ronaki institute for rehabilitating visually impaired children. All subjects were male children aged 8 – 9 category (B1). The program consisted of (18) teaching units; six of them were introductory. The results showed the positive effect of the audio and touch exercises in learning fundamental principles in freestyle swimming for blind children aged 8 – 9 years old.
