The Electrical Conductivity of Some Transition Metal Complexes with 2,2`-Bipyridyl in Different Solvents at 298.16K

Abstract

AbstractThe aim of this research is a conductivity study of Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) complexes with 2,2`-Bipyridyl (bipy) in water, methanol and ethanol as solvents at 298.16K. The data were analyzed by using Lee-Wheaton (LW) conductivity equation for asymmetric electrolytes. The conductivity parameters: ionic conductivity (), association constant (KA) and the average distance parameter between the ions (R) at the best fit values of the standard deviation s() have been calculated. The results are discussed on the basis of the solvent effect on the conductivity parameters of these complexes.
