preventive strategies of secondary school teachers' burnout

Abstract

Abstract: The aim of this study was to investigate the Coping strategies used by secondary school teachers to avoid and prevent Burnout , The sample consisted of 353 teachers, who taught in the secondary schools of Tlemcen in western Algeria;two scales were used to carry out this study: a scale of coping strategies,Maslach Burnout Inventory (M.B.I). After statistical processing using SPSS-23, the study concluded that there is a contribution of (29%) of Task strategies (problem solving) and emotion management strategies in reducing Burnout, whereas no contribution of (distraction -sport) strategies, and social support strategies in reducing Burnout.Keywords:coping strategies, Task (problem solving), emotion management, social support, distraction and sport, burnout, emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, reduced personal accomplishment
