The effectiveness of teaching science with a strategy (Team-Pair-Solo) in the development of information generation skills among students in the second grade intermediate

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research aim to investigate the effectiveness of teaching science with the strategy of "Team-Pair-Solo" in Development the skills of generating information among second grade students. The research is determined by students of the second intermediate grade in the middle of the unique decade of boys under the Directorate of Education Babylon / The first three units (Module 1: Movement and Power, Module 2: Power and Energy, Module 3: Sound and Light), 2018, Second Semester (2018-2019). The experimental group was selected by random sampling method. A) was chosen to represent the experimental group to be studied according to the Team-Pair-Solo strategy and the B group to represent the control group which will study according to the traditional method, Thus becoming the sample size (57) students, has been verified The age of time, intelligence, previous physical information, and information-generating skills). The research requirements were carried out (identification of scientific material, formulation of behavioral goals, preparation of instructional plans, preparation of skills test for information generation). The test of information generation skills consisted of (36) paragraphs divided equally into four skills (inference inference, 9 paragraphs, inference, 9 paragraphs, prediction, 9 paragraphs, expansion, 9).17 / 2/2019 and so on the experimental group was taught in the Team-Pair-Solo strategy. The experiment lasted eight weeks. The results showed statistically significant differences between the experimental and control groups in the data generation skills and for the experimental group
