The effect of the KWEL strategy on the ability of mathematics students to apply mathematical equations in the measurement and evaluation material

Abstract

Objective of the research to identify the effect of the strategy (KWEL) in the ability of the mathematics department students to apply mathematical equations in the measurement and evaluation. The study sample consisted of students of the fourth stage of the Mathematics Department at the College of Education for Pure Sciences / Mosul University for the academic year 2017-2018. The total number of students was 104 students, which were divided into two experimental and control units, each of which consisted of (53.51) Respectively,In order to achieve the objective of the research and test hypotheses it requires the construction of the application of mathematical equations and the final form of five paragraphs specific answer, the test was characterized by honesty and stability and the power of excellence of its paragraphs. After the researcher achieved the equivalence process through the simple random distribution between the two research groups to be studied during the duration of the experiment, preparing the teaching plans according to the modified KWEL strategy and constructing the test of the application of mathematical equations, (15/10/2017) for the first semester until 10/1/2018 the test was applied periodically. After statistical data collection and analysis using the TI test for two independent samples, the results showed the following:- There is a statistically significant difference at (0.05) between the mean of the application of mathematical equations in the experimental and control groups and for the benefit of the experimental group.
