The Popular And Formal Attitude From Amazighian Case In Morocco 1956 – 1972

Abstract

After the French occupation of Morocco in 1912, they tried to eliminate the Arab Islamic identity of the Moroccan population in general and the Berber Amazighs in particular. Due to the solidity of the religious and educational institutions in the cities, they headed towards the mountainous and desert regions where the Berber Amazigh population density was in an attempt to establish an entity separate from the Kingdom of Morocco on the basis of different ethnicities. French General Procurator General Leuti laid the cornerstone of the barbaric policy and sought legal drafting and norms for the barbarians to graduate on the basis of historical facts in what was known as "Berber custom". The French colonial policy in Morocco and the resulting influence in some of the emancipated elites, which found support from France under the guise of defending rights and freedoms. In order to preserve the French cultural presence in the direction that serves the goal of ancient colonialism, cultural and ethnic conflicts arose. People and activists, whether they are politicians and Islamists who are keen to link with the Arab Islamic field and the use of Arabic language and crafts when writing Amazigh Berber language The National Movement in Morocco has formulated the elements of identity and linked to Arabism, The Berber Amazigh sense of the priority of the struggle against colonialism was unwarranted. The Berber Amazighs remained fractured by the constant association of Amazigh identity with the idea of fragmentation and the Berber dahir, which was formulated by colonialism to separate the Arabs from Berber Amazighs. The Amazigh Berber participation in civil life has been eliminated after the events of the Skhirat. They belong to poor Bedouin rural areas and the Berber Amazigh question falls within the framework of the class struggle and within the framework of unequal development. Therefore, we must start from the principle of rapprochement between the Arabs and Amazigh Berbers and they are involved in the cause of the Moroccan nation and Islam, which unites them, which is the basic element of national identity away from the party, which leads to the deepening of the gap between Arabs and Amazigh Berbers
