A Suggested Analytical Solution For Laminated Closed Cylindrical Shells Using General Third Shell Theory (G.T.T.)

Abstract

Transient solutions will be developed for laminatedsimply supported closed cylindrical shells subjectedto a uniform dynamic pressure at the outer surfaceof the cylinder. These solutions are obtained byusing General Third Shell Theory (G.T.T.).Rectangular pulse, triangular pulse, sinusoidalpulse and (ramp-constant) load-time varyingfunctions are studied and the required equilibriumequations are developed. The central deformationand principle stresses are investigated for differentcross-ply laminates.
