Abstract
The arenicolous Corollospora mesopotamica is newly described from the ti d al zone of khor AL-Zubair estuary, Basrah, Southern Iraq. The fungus is distinguished by its brown, 2-4(mostly2) celled ascospores. The new species is described and illustrated. A key to the identification of Corollospora species with brownascospores is provided.
