Effect of Acute Anemia on Safety of pregnancy and delivery in adolescent at (14 – 18) years

Abstract

The present study includes the investigation of the effect acute anemia 0n safety 0f pregnancy and delivery for the teenagers at the age y (14 to 18) year, during the period that lies between September 2009 till February 2010 in the districts of Abu - Desheer Al-Dora and Al - baya ،a.The results showed decrease in the level of the hemoglobin (Hb) to 11g100mm blood for the pregnant who had severe anemia starting from their fourth month till the ninth month of pregnancy .The (Hb) level was (8.66, 8.30, 8.53, 8.43, 8.26, and 8.26) g 100mm blood for the first six month respectively. It was also revealed that there is a decrease in percentage (poked cell volum) off to %35, which reached % (27.92, 28.80, 29.13, 29.26, 28.73) respectively. there was also decline in the daily average taken from the nutrients like protein , Iron , and Vitamins A , C under the natural average , which reached 489 , 14mg , 1.1g , 1.5mg , 1.5 micro g , 302 micro g and 699 rational equivalent, 57 mg respectively.While for the nutrition groups a decrease was also shown in the percentage rate for the milk group and its derivatives, meat group , bread , cereals , vegetables , and fruits which reached %13.3, %33.3, %60, %53.3, and %40 respectively and daily. It was also noticed that the number of natural delivery was (3) only which equals the rate of %20 percentage. While the number of czarina surgery. (12) Which means % 80 and the number of threatened pregnancy is (9) or 60%The results also showed (10) baby deliveries under the natural or average weight. that’s why severe anemia is considered the result of poor nutrition factor affecting the safely of pregnancy and delivery , a matter which require deep attention for pregnant care to reduce anemia cases reflecting positive abilities of pregnancy and infants safety .
