مسح لبعض أنواع اللافقريات في نظامين مائيين ببغداد

Abstract

The Present study is an attempt for showing the qualitative Zooplankton composition in two aquatic systems (Ponds) within Baghdad: Al- Rashidiya Northwest of Baghdad and Al- Yousifiya Southwest of Baghdad. The Samples Collocted duriag Autumn 2009, The average values of the measured parameters were as follow ; Air temp. (23, 21° C), Wat. Temp. (21, 19°C), pH (7.5, 7.1), DO (6,6.1 mg/l) (68, 67% sat. ) and Salinity (0.3, 1.5‰) for the two studied sites respectively. Invertebrate samples were collected through filtration of water via Planktonic net (25 mesh size). The results revealed the presence of 37 taxa in the two sites- The number of species in Al- Yousifiya (site 2) exceeded that of Al-Rashidiya (site 1) by 2.5 X. The Protozea specially the class ciliate were dominated the other identified taxa- the present results may be as a data base for other extensive studies in the future.
