A Plain Love Poet is a Platonic Poet

Abstract

The research aims at showing that poets of this school are as noble and spiritual in their feelings as those who are called the platonic poets. They have not been seekers of sensual pleasure who reflect their adventures in poetry. Rather, they want to lead a romantic life which is a combination of reality and vision. Although their experiences show little sensuality, they do not portray a real sexual appetite. On the contary, they represent an artistic doctrine which is familiar even to platonic poets when describing their love’s beauty and prettiness.
