Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research examines language and the structure of image and general construction of the poem in the Collection of poems “Behind the Walls of the Resurrection” by the Jordanian poetess Lina Abu Bakr. The research focused on the skill of the poetess in adapting the language to be invested in the formation of the image via metaphorical formation technique. It is particularly interested in exotic and rare exotic image which was formed through the poetess attempt to fly away in the metaphorical prospects and passion.It also focused on other methods and techniques adopted by the poetess, such as bilateral contrast and the impact of psychological aspects of conflict in their passion, as well as messaging senses, deviations, inclusion, and sometimes linguistic improvisation.In a study of the general structure of the poem, the skill of the poetess in the use of sections in building poems which is based on many stanzas in order to avoid length shown in the construction of the poem, and her skill in making the stanza like an independent musical cycle, provided by the appropriate rhythm to the atmosphere of the stanza and the meanings that it includes, as well as what prevailing rhyme provides in the fission of the stanza, and the special rhyme of the close of the stanza which is often poem ends rhyme. The paper had also a glimpse at short and medium length poems.The results of the research show that the poetry of Lina Abu Bakr is a clear modernist project, which attempts to adapt the uniqueness brilliantly poetic language of the sentence, and the poetic image and excellence of the exoticness of images and its ability to Interestingness.ملخص البحث
