Using the Nonlinear Transfer Function Method to find the amount of water turbidity forecasts of the Tigris River in Baghdad

Abstract

AbstractThe transfer function is an accurate scientific means in finding the predictions of phenomena. In this thesis the nonlinear transfer function has been studied which is more precise than the linear transfer function, dependence on linear compounds and non linear compounds of highly degree. This study finds the essential stage of constructing the nonlinear transfer function. As one of their priorities, developed countries give a great interest to filter drinking water. The purpose behind this study is to detect a prediction models to the amount of turbidity water of the River Tigris in Baghdad city depending on monthly data of temperatures during the period from 2005 up to 2012.Turbidity is one of the most significant factors that hinder water filter operation.Depending on a ready –made statistical program SPSS (ver.19), the researcher finds monthly predictions of water turbidity of the River Tigris in Baghdad city. This study concludes the significance and the accuracy of analyzing the nonlinear transfer function through producing the exactness of the estimate model and comparing it with the linear style of the same used data.
