The Issue of Rhetorical Interpretation and Alternation in Al Baidawi's Margins

Abstract

The paper studies the issue of alternation in relation to rhetorical interpretation in Hawash Al Baidawi- d. This issue has become quite controversial in spite of the fact that it is a prominent aspect of Quranic expression. The paper shows the predominance of camouflaged alternation among the followers of this book. Quranic citations show that alternation is also relevant to other rhetorical devices like pun, metaphor, repetition, and simile. This reflects the aspects of rhetorical excellence via rhetorical interpretation.
