أثر المناهج الاستشراقيّة في كتاب القيان والغناء في العصر الجاهليّ للدّكتور ناصر الدّين الأسد

Abstract

The paper presents a scientific analysis for Al Qiyyan and Ghinaa, translates into Female-Slaves Singing and Singing, in the Jahili era due to the book's precedence in the world of literary studies, the place it occupies in medium and high stages of study, let alone the significance of the era it explores, The Jahili era. The paper reveals the author's influence by the western and oriental curricula. This is very clear through frequently using of repetition, generalizations, and tautological expressions in addition to the obvious mistakes in documentation, especially when resorting to some undependable resources, and when being unable to differentiate between Islam and Jahili eras, and by referring to oriental thoughts as being very unarguable. However, the vast majority of his thoughts weren’t scientifically and logically proved to be true, thus meaning that he highly depended on intuitions and guessing, the thing that mismatches with academic and scientific research methods, which, he himself highly emphasized in the introduction of his book.
