Construction Planning Of The Holy City of Karbala For the Years (1940/ 680- 1321 H/ 61 H)

Abstract

The Holy City of Karbala'a has a very important geographical location. This city grew in the cradle of civilization. Some Arabic tribes lived on this land taking the form of village making use of its fertile soil and then it began to grow. The city took its importance as the leader Kahlid bin Al- Waleed passed it in 14 H. and then Al- Emam Ali (peace be upon him) in 40 H. on his way to Sefeen. The importance of the city increased after the battle of Al-Taf. And the martyrdom of Al- Emam Al- Hussain and his brother Al-Emam Al-Abbas (peace be upon them) as they were buried in the city.
