The Five Forms of Quran Recitations: A Linguistic Study

Abstract

Although many books were written on the science of Quran recitations in linguistic studies, the topic has not been exhausted the research. This is due to the nature of Quranic sciences that can never be run out of research. After tracking Quranic verses, it was found that there are certain utterances that can be pronounced in five different forms that never been investigated. After reviewing the literature, it was found that there is a sufficient material about the topic in question that can be an valuable study. The study will be entitled "The Five Forms of Quran Recitations: A Linguistic Study".The study will be divided into the following topics: using and dropping glottalization, the difference in verb diacritical marks, the similarities of diacritical marks and consonant cluster, using and dropping, using strong and weak forms. Finally, the study was ended with a conclusion in which the most important results of the study.
