Abstract

The research aims to identify the role of social networks in the scientific informal communication, in the area of information and libraries at the national level. Also to the most prominent areas of the informal scientific communication between the Iraqi specialists in the information and libraries. The research concluded that the announcement of the scientific and cultural activities for the owners of the pages was the most prominent activity in the field of scientific communication. The research gives a set of recommendations that would increase the effectiveness of scientific communication and draws benefit from the social networking at the level of the educational applications.
